It’s Friday night, and you get a last minute text inviting you to a Halloween party. There’s just one problem, you don’t have a
costume! I’ve got you covered with these recognizable costumes that you can pull together right from your closet.
Danny Zuko from Grease
Elevate your favorite tropical This classic costume requires the basics you already own, a white t-shirt, dark jeans,
Converse sneakers and a leather jacket. Don’t forget to slick back your hair for the full Travolta effect.
Every guy has a denim shirt in their closet, and if you don’t, stop what you’re doing and go buy one! Add a paint palette
and you’re good to go. Tip: if you’re using an older denim shirt, add a few paint splatters for a creative touch. A permed wig is optional if you want to go all out, but there’s nothing wrong with a modern day take on Bob Ross.
Pair a sweater vest with a collared shirt and draw a lightning bolt on your forehead. Bonus points if you have round
glasses and a striped scarf. You can pick up a wizard wand online for less than $5, or a stick will work.
The iconic Bond suit will stand out among the cheap costume store outfits any day. Use either a black suit or a black
blazer and slacks. If you don’t have these items, see if you can borrow them from a friend.
For a fun twist carry a martini glass.
The great thing about these costumes is they can easily transition from the party to a bar later in the evening without
having to change or carry too many inconvenient props.
